The second coming of shaving. August 22, 2010 An Old Youngster 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I first tried this item on a whim after reading about the proper way to shave on The Art of Manliness- incidentally a wonderful website for those of us who grew up without fathers. The cream is incredible. I prefer the unscented cream with scented oil and after shave lotion. Regardless, if you begin using these types of classic shaving implements you will never go back to the price warring modern shaving products that actually cost more in the long run.
Good, but... August 17, 2010 John (Perry, Ohio) I tried the Sandlewood cream, but the scent was just way too strong for me. Made my eyes water. I loved the scent, but if it were only about 25% as strong, it would be great. I took it back to the store and got the unscented, and I think it works wonderful. As one person said, you only need a small amount, and then latehr it up in your hand with the brush. The only negative comment I have (other than the scent being too strong on the Sandlewood) is that it seems a bit too pricey. I've used other creams (in a tube) that are a fraction of the price, and work just as well.
great shave, great gift July 13, 2010 cjarro I bought the art of shaving kit for my husband one Father's day and he has been hooked to the products since! This is a great item to gift to any man, shaving will never be the same without it. My husband also loves the shaving oil!
shaving cream July 5, 2010 Thomas R. Fischel a rip off, no better than mass produced drugstore item, very little cream in tube
Best shave cream I have ever used April 6, 2010 G. Stuart (Atlanta, GA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is not the first container of this shave cream that I have purchased. I have bought several over the past few years and will continue to do so. This package will last me from 9-11 months and by far gives me the least irritating shave I have ever gotten. I use an Art of Shaving fine badger brush with this shave cream and the conbination of the 2 is great. I don't get in-grown hairs the way I did with other shave creams or gels and it is a closer shave than I used to get. I attribute this to the shave cream since I am using the same brand of razor blades that I did with other creams and gels.
